When we talk about art in the metro, we think of forms, of flat colors that brighten our days and of Frederic Back who said it so well : ''Art is important because we are surrounded by surfaces that do not speak to us.'' The metro becomes then a place of expression thanks to the art that invites us to escape our daily preoccupations. For the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the STM, this publication brings together all the works of art in the metro, according to their station.
